#devsays – “Sometimes you have to destroy the way you think before you can construct who you become.”
A Dev Style
Melodic Progressive × Atmospheric Electronica × Organic Electronic
Destructive Mental Construction explores destruction as an act of creation - tearing down the internal architecture that no longer belongs to who we are becoming.
Built from energetic synths, drum-machine rhythms and expressive bass guitar, the track evolves through warm chords, shimmering analog textures, atmospheric pads, detailed percussion and hypnotic melodic movement.
“I kept calling it protection...
while the ceiling learned to crack.”

Production Notes
The original synth motifs, groove and bass guitar remain central. Bass guitar frequently becomes a counter-melody while evolving synths, filtered sequences and cinematic textures gradually reconstruct the arrangement.
Rather than conventional EDM drops, the track develops through negative space, rhythmic mutation, atmospheric breakdowns and long tension-and-release arcs.
“If I have to lose my mind...
I’ll build a better one.”
A smoky, throaty female alto/contralto moves from intimate restraint into wider ghost doubles and psychedelic echoes as the track progresses from fracture to reconstruction.
Some things aren't meant to be repaired.
Some beliefs need demolition.
“I thought destruction was the end.
Turns out...
I was making room.”
