Music updates
When you sign up, this website stores your email address, subscription status and consent confirmation time in WordPress. You must confirm your email before joining the list. A confirmation email is sent to you and a notification of confirmed signups goes to dev@gautamdev.com.
Your email is used for Gautam Dev’s music updates, release notes and #devsays. Keep the confirmation email: it contains a link to remove your address from this signup list. You can also email dev@gautamdev.com to ask about, correct or delete your subscription information. Future newsletter emails should also include an unsubscribe option.
Retention and hosting
Confirmed subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe or request removal. Unconfirmed requests expire after seven days and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Website visits are needed for WordPress’s default scheduler unless a server schedule is configured. Short-lived, hashed request identifiers help limit signup abuse. Hosting and email delivery services process connection and delivery information to operate the website and send confirmations. The website is hosted on AWS Lightsail.
Players, artwork and external links
SoundCloud and YouTube players load when you choose to play music or films. They receive connection information and may use their own cookies or storage. Track artwork may load from SoundCloud’s image servers. Social, streaming and store links take you to other services whose own privacy policies apply. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives connection information when the page loads.
Your choices
You can browse without signing up and choose whether to load embedded media. This signup does not automatically subscribe people from the old website. Any existing forms, records or services on legacy pages remain separate. Contact dev@gautamdev.com with privacy questions.
